About Ron

Author Ron Gillatt was born in England and enjoyed a career spanning more than 50 years in emergency services and training. He began as an ambulanceman in his early 20s in the Manchester area of Great Britain. He qualified as a professional paramedic through taking advanced training courses as soon as they began being offered. After 31 years of life-long learning and active service, he transitioned to become a staff trainer and later launched his own training business which he ran for the next 20 years, first in the UK and then in Canada. Ron recently retired and lives now with his wife in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.
